Stop procrastinating and get to work

I was so happy when I started my freelance business I thought that was what I hoped for I wouldn't have to get up so early no more day commutes I would work when I was most productive without supervision I never imagined working from home was so different than I I believe.

I can't say I lack enthusiasm, but I'm getting close. I am under the influence of the comfort of my home. Postponed assignments at the last minute. At that time, I grabbed snacks in my kitchen and sat on the couch (for a second) watching what was going on in my house. My favorite show, after a few months I felt like I was working all the time and had absolutely no free time.

One day I stopped and thought and decided to do the whole day's work in one sitting, so that I could work out the actual time it takes to work. The result amazed me, because I was able to turn a full day of hard work into several hours of work, at that moment I realized that there was a problem with procrastination and I decided to fight it with everything I had, and these are the methods that helped me to continue and work more

1- Use a home office

I decided the first thing to reduce the comfort of the house by turning the guest room into a small office, if you do not have a room, do not worry, you can use one of the corners of the house so that it is well lit, and if you are someone who likes to work at night, make sure that you have the appropriate lighting so as not to exhaust your

Regarding the business plan, it is as follows. I put a bottle of water next to me so that there are no temptations on the way to and from the kitchen. I also put a bowl of fruit on the table in case I need a snack before my lunch break. I also put the phone next to me on silent to avoid any distraction. In this regard.

2- Get productivity software apps to get you started

All work tasks involve using a computer to complete them, so do I accidentally fall into a YouTube magic loop, or do I scroll through Facebook news endlessly until I reach 2010?  I'm guilty, he put me in jail, I wasted a lot of time sitting at the computer and not doing anything useful.

So I decided to create an account on my computer just for work, and I only use one browser while I work, so I only see topics and tabs saved for work, plus I did some research and found things that help everyone focus.

In order to make sure that I am always productive, I decided to use time tracking programs, there are many programs such as: Toggl, Tick, and RescueTime, and in the end I found that these applications are very useful, because they provide you with a report so that you can easily track your work.

3- Prioritize, prioritize, prioritize

This turned out to be very necessary when I started my war on procrastination, and some of the work I was doing didn't have a deadline, and what I would do next was say "OK, this work, I can do tomorrow, I still have time" so when tomorrow comes I have So much work to do in a day that I have to sit up late and the production may be bad and I may not be able to complete all the tasks on

Then I bought a bulletin board and put it up in front of me on the wall, and started organizing my tasks in a calendar, and that's when I found out why I had this poster in my old workplace, and this question helped me a lot to get back into routine and take work more seriously, the results were amazing, I finished more work .  Compared to what I had planned, I started getting other assignments to fill those vacancies, and eventually I was able to get more money.

4- Stay focused on the rewards

I remembered that once I took a class on procrastination in a college psychology class, so I decided to do a little research online and found some leads on procrastination.

All the experts say that motivation is one of the most important ways to avoid procrastination, and then I realized I was losing my motivation for thinking too much about the hard work I had to put in to complete my tasks.  Priority list and schedule and next to each task I wrote how much money I would earn on completion at first it was a nice boost but now it has lost its effect on me.

I had to.

You have to keep in mind that it didn't happen overnight, there was an incubation period that led to these behaviors, however we have to start with at least some things that get you back on track, it's okay to make a list of things that you want.  want to do to combat procrastination, then break that list down from easiest to hardest, then start working on that list and take the time you need to adjust to those changes.
