The family is the basic building block of society, it is like a living cell, and it is the first educational and cultural vessel that embraces children. Society or its weakness is the cohesion of the family, and this has an active role in the construction of a healthy, integrated and interconnected society, the children are the moisture of the parents' eyes, and the reason for their happiness, and the family is like good soil, and if this soil is good, then its vegetation is good, and vice versa, if the parents are good.

To form a family you must go through several stages, among which are the following:

- Commitment: It is the relationship period between a man and a woman and the planning of the next days and their future together.

- The family is generally classified into two types:
- A family nucleus made up of spouses and their children
- An extended family, consisting of father, mother, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, uncle and aunt, which is widespread in Arab countries.
- The forms of this family are as follows:
- The autocratic family is a form of family, whose system is based on the father's control over the family, since he is considered the authority, and the mother has no legal or social authority.
- The democratic family and its principle are based on equality and understanding between the spouses and counseling between the spouses.
family duties
Each member of the family has an important role and a duty towards the family:
- Raise children under a solid Islamic education and take care of them, since the family is responsible for raising children in a healthy and balanced way.
- Guide the children and teach them Islamic teachings, such as praying on time and regularly.
- Instilling the values of courage, conviction and contentment with what God has decreed.
- Provide material rights to children.
- obey and listen to parents; Because they have the best interest of the children, by exchanging opinions on matters in which parents disagree with their children.
The importance of the family
- Preservation of offspring, lineages and symptoms.
- Protect society from psychological and physical illnesses that may spread as a result of the formation of marriage and family.
- Achieve the comfort of people through an atmosphere of compassion, love and cohesion.
- Individuals develop normal, healthy growth; Because they are in a healthy family framework that takes care of their health, and the family creates the right climate for the individual to go from one stage of growth to another.
- Contribute to the formation of a fair and committed society, and protect it from collapse.
- Increase the individual's confidence in himself, since belonging to his family gives him a sense of stability and psychological tranquility.
- The family ensures the comfort of adults and children, takes care of them, gives them health and strength.
