Review in the United States.
1. My toddler started late in school (2 1/2) and wasn't interested in learning at all. Buy this book for beginners to learn how to trace. Currently, he is almost three years old and is working on his own without hesitation. Great book.
2. Great workbook. My daughter is learning to write. This book is a great tool. I'm not a teacher, so I love it. Like an educator, you need help teaching your child these things. This book definitely does it. It's very age-appropriate and my daughter loves it more than anything we've tried.
-I bought this for my 3-year-old son (4-year-old next month). I didn't want his sister's homeschooling and I feel like he was left behind. I thought this book was an easy way for him to learn pen controls and maybe letters, but I was wrong. He spent most of his homeschooling time watching videos of ABC mice instead.
The track had only one race car page, which was the only activity in the entire book he was interested in. I was very disappointed because it was an advertised page and I was hoping I would have liked it more. There are no other creative tracking activities throughout the book.
He was confused by the many shapes and designs and thought they had to be colored. Whenever I helped his sister, he would turn the pages and scribble.
This book does not appeal to early learners unless they are particularly interested in writing. I took a picture of the side of the book to show the actual distribution of the content. Purple learns to control the pen. You will find that it is a small part that is almost invisible. All oranges are tracing letters and all pinks are antique numbers. It jumped into letters and numbers too quickly for me.
Instead, I got a clean book from Usborne. It focuses on shape and stylus control, which he loves so much more. This book is of little use to us. As a very enthusiastic learner, my oldest person was probably more interested in this sort of thing when he was about four years old than his brother, so I gave him a two-star rating.
