Biological educational microscope
I was looking for a usable microscope for my niece (10 years old) for her birthday and one could use a microscope but at a reasonable price. It was important to me that the equipment was good and that the body was made of metal, not plastic. For this price ($119.59), you get a well-equipped entry-level microscope (3 lenses, adjustable illumination, coarse and fine adjustment, mobile phone attachment for taking pictures of samples, etc.). Zoom can also be adapted by moving the objective of the lens. The different color filters that allow lotions to be displayed in different colors are also of interest to children. Accessories also contain 10 prepared specimens that let you try out microscopy for the first time.
But there are also negative aspects that the manufacturer can easily fix. If this is given, I can give 5 stars in terms of price-performance ratio. The larger lens can technically be used, but due to insufficient LED lighting, the samples appear too dark. This could have been easily and inexpensively solved with a more powerful LED. But even without the larger lens, other existing lenses can be used for partial copying so much that partial copying can be enjoyed. The brightness of the light can be adjusted like a professional microscope, but you usually have to set it to the maximum illumination in order to see the samples correctly. It was also good for the sample to stay in focus when changing the target. This is not the case with this microscope, it must be refocused. But you also have to see that you can't order this at that price. If you see it positively, you also learn to focus on different magnifications.
Overall verdict: For this price, a successful microscope makes a good impression and gets as close as possible to professional microscopes in an upbeat and practical way, which means that beginners can have positive first experiences with the microscope. The LED should be upgraded for a larger lens.
